Nope, not really.

Thanks for the reply there Monte,

You say you thinned out the herd a bit and sold a 77b auto to Keith, is that the rather unused one that he modded with a s rod?
If so I own it now. It was sold on the Compass forum, where I'm known as FoilFinder. It's inthe mail, can't wait until it gets here.
This unit should work nice in the pea gravel tot lots we have here, where there is alot of target masking with the iron bits in it.
You say you would like to run the IB Compass models, is that the 94IB and 77IB models? Why is that, wouldn't the 94B/77B/ 77Auto be more desirable?
The hottest 100khz Compass I have now is a red button Judge 2 Auto, it air tests a thin 18k ladies diamond ring at 9". This is compared to my 77IB and 77B.
Hopefully my new 77B Auto will trump it. The bottle cap rejection switch on the Judge 2 is rather interesting although not perfect as some bottle caps have foil and aluminum paint to through a curve ball into it, not to mention rusty ones.
We have an old 1800's park that is just littered with them.

It's is nice you Mother found your Dad's ring before she moved out. I feel you are right that my moms ring might not be found. Perhaps the Richardson's Ground Squirrel's hole it slipped into, liked shinny things and presented it to his significant other for a Mother's day present and it is now 8 feet under below the frost line safe and sound for generations to come! But then again you never know.

PennyFinder

I knew a single girl or two that got themselves knocked up. They couldn't do their job because of chemicals, noise, etc..., so they got a GRAVY job for the duration and a while after the birth. Then, they got a nice big base house, since they now had a family.

So, as a no kids not married airman, I got a crappy 10x10 dorm room with a room mate, with a shared bathroom (2 rooms, 4 guys, 1 toilet). I kept my nose clean, and got the shack, they got knocked up, and got the mansion. Still @#$%& me off to this day.
Intelligent discussion... :)

...on this forum?

OK, let's try one then, Jim

Subject: Marxist socialist Democrats.

Out of all the politicians, senators and congressmen, which one monetarily profited the most from the Iraq War?

As posted recently, there are supposedly 237 millionaires in Congress. Of these, Republicans or Democrats, which ones propose doing away with free enterprise and adopting a Marxist Socialist system? Which ones support redistribution of their personal wealth?

You can call anyone that disagree with you names like communist and socialist. You can even call them Nazis and say they are like Hitler. Beyond name calling, all these terms have a real meaning and I personally haven't seen any democrats rounding up Jews, Slavs and gypsies in the night and operating mass extermination programs.

You can look it up, Marxist Socialism is a real political ideology with real political goals. It just doesn't have a lot of traction these days, even in the Soviet Union and China and especially not among the 237 millionaires in Congress. :)

The attachements seem too flimsy and thin, if you try to tighten it too much they break, but if you dont tighten it enough the coil is very loose, I too had no idea that it would be covered by warranty and made repairs myself, I used a rugged cement/ glue and 2 vinyl washers, I attached the washers to each side and it worked perfect and its very sturdy, not too mention I can now tighten the coil correctly. My question now is since I repaired it will that void me sending it to Minelab for replacement? I should have asked BEFORE repairing it I guess because it seems that if you were to only add 2 more thin rubber washers it would be perfect.

You could have five coins within the signal cone at different levels and your coil will only see the top coin closest to the coil. That's why chains are so difficult to detect because your coil only sees one link at a time - not the whole chain - and the link closest to the coil. Multiple coins at the same level will emit a wide signal as your coil sees all of them as one target. Many people walk away from a pile like this thinking it is a junk signal. Check the three Franklin halves I recovered during my field test of the Pro-Pointer.

Bill

A fix for UW. (Awful Day)

Probably my worst hunt of the year. One hour 15 minutes in a pasture that serves as a sled hill during the winter. I guess I wasn't into it today because I usually do better there. One of those pennies is a wheat. The feather is sterling silver and part of an earring I guess. No nickels. No quarters.

The Half Crown came from a convenience store on my way to the field. The clerk/owner was ranting about finding it in his drawer. I told him I collect foreign coins and I'd take it off his hands. He said he'd have to get 50 cents for it which I was happy to do. It's the size of a US half dollar but only 50% silver. Still 3-4 bucks worth of silver. What I don't get is that this guy comes from either India or Pakistan which were both British Empire. You'd think the guy would have seen one at some time. I have come across about 5 or 6 of these in the past year either at the store or at the bank. I might have to start collecting them. FYI 1946 was the last year they were minted in silver so I was a little lucky.

So here you are UW. A hunt that will make you glad you stayed home.

Chris
