When I got her out, I noticed that Scott had left his shop door opening, leaving it for all to see should anyone drive up while we were gone, so I stopped my car, got out with the full intention of lowering the bay door, and locking the other one to protect his stuff.

When I walked inside, I pressed the button to lower the door, good wife that I am. Well, it came down a little, then opened up again. This happened about four times before it registered to me that there must be something in the way of keeping it from closing. I walked open to the door, looked all around and saw nothing that should keep from closing. I went back to the button, and tried it a couple of more times! Still NO LUCK!:rant:

I started looking at the door again, this time looking up, and there sat his dang jeep! :surprised: It was on his automotive lift just sitting there. He had just finished putting on a brand spankin new rag top on it, and I guess was changing oil or something like that, that required it to be on a lift. :yikes:

As I sat there wondering what I should do, I noticed that the whole jeep had kind of a tilt look to it. What a predicament! Surely, nothing I could do about any help. I could just picture the new top ripping every time I pushed the button. Good Grief! What could I do? When I finally realized I could not get out of this mess without help, I called him on his cell phone.:unsure:

Something you need to come for, and perhaps you should bring Brad with you. (His buddy where he was working).Now my heart was beating about a hundred miles an hour. It took him about 3 minutes to get here, with a bit of a panicked look on his face, ESPECIALLY seeing me standing out side his shop.:surrender:


What? Whats happening,? he asked. Thats when I began to tell him the story. I must admit, he was cool and collected because he owed me one. He was the last to get into trouble when it came to messing up MY car, not Lola, but my Lincoln MKX, and I had remained cool and collected. He got to looking, up on a ladder, and found out the garage door was hanging on the jeep, but it was actually hanging on the jeep support bar that the rag top covered.

He got up on the ladder, and got the jeep disengaged from the top and the bar. Then came the lowering of the car lift and assessment of damage done. To both our relief, it had not torn the top at all. It had just put a little dent in the canvas top, and he said the sun would make it shape up good as new.:clap:

Well, we both left each other again as friends. :wiggle: All was well. The jeep top was fine, and at least it hadnt fallen OFF the lift!:clapping: Geez, if it had done that I would have packed up and kept on going!

I was thinking in the beginning that this was going to be bad, or maybe worse than the time, (again with the intentions of just helping), I got into the tractor and was going to
help mow our huge yard. I did okay on that one, that is until I somehow I hooked the mower on the neighbors butane tank and drug it halfway across my yard! :help:

I guess now I understand why Scott gets that big eyed looked when he finds out all I want to do is help him!!!!!

I saw about a half dozen people on the river in kayaks too. If the snow gets gone I will be getting the old scooter running and be hitting the river myself.
