I spent about an hour at my favorite park on sunday and was getting the usual clad coins when I got a hit on what id'd as a quarter. I pinpointed and it read as being three inches deep. Well, it was a small silver ring about the diameter of a nickel. This is the first silver i've gotten with my MXT. I have been running at preset on both gain and discrimination and cherry picking the area. I think I will lower the discrimination and be less picky now to see what turns up. That way you wouldn't have to watch the screen as much and could rely more on the sound.
But this MXT user isn't complaining either. A great machine to say the least.
