The veteran Toronto basement waterproofing company that services homes in the west end of the city near the famous buried Garrison Creek, which disappeared from city maps in the 1880s, finds lots of wet basements on historic properties that once had bricklined privies built right up next to the house. Underneath these long forgotten structures are vast deposits of antique glass bottles of every description, and even some early Canadian pottery pieces.

The excavators dont go down all the way, leaving much of the privy pit intact for discpvery next century. As they dig down through the ages they uncover all manner of metal coins, tools and old bottles.

I live in a town that was officially settled in 1778, but where the first church was built in the 1730's.

I found this in the heart of the oldest part of town about 7" deep.
There were Civil War soldier in the area at one point.

Decided to head out at the last minute for a hunt at a military training ground here in Victoria Australia. With all the fuss and excitement while packing half way to the hunt site i realized i forgot my phone/camera ( Still @#$%& :x ) but i still decided to make a quick flick of the finds so hope you guys enjoy it!!

I can clearly see how it takes some degree of effort (& patience) to both metal detect, and shoot a video at the same time. It looks more like it's a pain in the tail rather than somethng that's really fun to do. I therefore wanted to say that I fully appreciate all the effort that goes into the making of these type of videos, and applaud those who contribute their time to post their individual experiences for all to see.

Having stated that, I need to word the remainder of this post very carefully, as it is not my intention to embarrass, ridicule, or shame any of the video's in any matter shape or form.

However, as a potential buyer of some of these detectors that I have watched on YouTube, I need to say something:

When people are watching these video's they really don't care about your favorite classical, jazz, or rock music. They generally want to hear the DETECTOR beep, pop, sizzle, chime, whine, alarm, or honk. We even enjoy hearing the excitement of a detectorist finding a KEEPER, or share in the anger and grief over finding a piece of junk.
