I was thinking maybe melted copper being it was green but non of the green is coming off it looks stained or something. It doesnt look like anything to me really so it has me baffled. Any ideas? It is about 1.05 inch in diameter. Thickness is .085. On edge it looks funny, as if a tool made a cut all around the edge, (the center of the edge) It also strikes me odd that the copper band runs around the edge in the center as opposed to off to one side as most clad quarter are. I checked it with another 1985, other than that it looks normal. Do think in got lined up funny in the machine? Or was struck weird. Or could one side have been under severe durress or pressure causing the surface metal to fold over onto itself, giving the illusion the copper band is in the center? Any one ever see one like this? I rang at a 57 (zinc) on the F2's VDI. It weighs 1.23 oz......it was about 3 or 4 inches down.<br />Patterned lines go all the way around but are melted (or smashed maybe) on one side. Mostly hollow in the bottom with a small divet in the top....I suppose it could be a bullet of some sort (and I am certainly no expert), but I have never seen anything like this.......]]></description>

I was thinking vintage<br />I found a lock in the same area and that dates to 1927. I'll try and download the the picture so you can get the<br />picture literally. Thanks for looks, this was in a electrolysis bath for 24 hours. The picture was pre elecrolysis.<br />My question is do you think this was a slave shackle tie down or boat related anchor. This was found about 30ft<br />off of a pond. The lead weight appears to be home made as well.]]></description>
