WARNING POLITICAL POST: Florida Republican primary is next Tuesday .... and I'm not sure ....

.... I don't really like any of the top three contenders. Ron Paul, the 4th contender, is way too wacko for my tastes on defense, foreign policy and some other issues.
Romney is pretty much a RHINO and not conservative enough for me. I fear he would not be able to undo our do nothing house and senate.
Newt is an amazingly smart man, good debater, a terrific historian, provides true conservative "talk" ... but has more baggage than an overseas flight and comes across as not to be trusted and I fear the "fits of rage" he has demonstrated when under attack from Romney.
Santorum is likely not to beat the above two but he is saying all the things I want to hear, no baggage has yet been revealed, seems intelligent, is a good debater, does not rely on a teleprompter, but lost his last Senate re-election in a heavily democrat district. That may be a good thing! Its amazing he got elected as a republican in the first place.
My sister, from Pennsylvania, is a flaming die hard liberal who voted for Obama, won't vote for him this time, thinks Santorum is an idiot, and hates Newt. If I guess correctly, and I don't know if PA is an open primary state, but if so, I think she would vote for Romney. So that leaves him out for me.
99% of everyone I talk to here at the store (customers and employees) and with personal friends would vote for an old dirty worn out smelly boot versus Obama in the actual presidential election.
Right now I'm leaning heavily for Santorum.
If you lived in Florida and had to vote for one of these guys, for whom would you hang your chad? Put answer in your subject line then explain if necessary in the body of the post. Thanks.
Ron Paul may be liberal in some areas and not eager to go to war, he is a strict constitutionalists and is not spend crazy like some of the others. He also stated that if elected he would lower his salary to $39,000 a year. He also served in the military.

I kind of think his good points far out way his bad, a good congress and senate should keep the President in check. From what I've read Newt supported NAFTA which sent jobs out of the country, he helped give our trade rights over to the WTO. Will we find a perfect president, probably not.. Trying to change things in Washington is like climbing a 200 ft tree and trying to chop it down from the top.
It would probably be better to start right in our own communities and (make sure) our public servants are willing to serve and listen to the public in regard to what they want done. To many are just trying to make a name for themselves and filling their and their friends pockets at our expense.. Dig the roots up..(at home)..and that big tree will topple over a lot easier..

Makes you wonder why the Repub Party is down on Gingrich? Perhaps he knows who isn't doing their jobs?

Look, whoever is tapped to be the front runner, is really running against Axelrod, and hes a marketing MASTER! He's already working the non-traditional channels on the internet chat rooms. Hes got a huge stack of cash, is hiring all sorts of high end marketing types, and really does have the MSM in the bag...I think it scared him though when Newt did so well in SC...they thought they'd bury him once and for all with that opening question, so that gives a fellow hope that maybe they just dont understand how mad and reactionary Main Street can be. Newt can definitely out debate Obama, and they want to avoid that possibility at all costs. Too bad Christy didn't back Newt, or it would really be game on!
