I have found many coins hidden among trash that I wound have just passed up with the bigger coil. In fact, Ive been over the same areas that I was in with the bigger coil and now its like your able to really disect the junk from the trash. Heres what I have found, now I may be wrong so please correct me if I am. When I find a coin among trash sometimes it does not lock on, but you still get the tone. I then try for different angles until I get a better signal or tone, then go to pinpoint. During pinpoint I adjust the coil till the green bar is at its longest length, Im pretty sure thats where the coin is...please correct me if Im wrong. Im still in my infant stage of learning this machine, 1 month, about 30 hours and 184 coins ($21.84). I just love this hobby!

Not long ago I purchased the MXT which was a really nice machine.
Showed it to a freind and he wanted to buy it so .....SOLD! it was.

I'll have to admitt that those videos on the V3 really got my attention.
I have a little hearing loss and thought that the extra screen information
may also help me learn more about targets that I may not of heard with
the MXT.

Well ....now I'm happy to own the V3.

How many people are using the factory preset programs?
Curious to see how other people that are new to the machine are using it?

I'm going to make a test garden and learn the different tones and what I can
learn from the screens.

Any advice is always welcomed!

With the Filter on 5 BAND, and DD stock coil I was seeing the reverse/ opposite? Suggested Rx. 10 -coil raised in the air, and 12 with coil on the ground. consistently every time I checked. I then placed the rx on 3 and checked and saw the same .

I wasn't expecting to find much but it was nice to be out swinging. The V3 was hitting pretty deep and I pulled 3 old IH's, no dates but definitely 1800's. I also found this neat tie tack, or maybe it is a cuff link.

What makes this such a nice find is that it is engraved on the back (very small print):
