I have been agonizing over two detectors which I recently purchased used; Fisher F75 and Teknetics G2. The deal I made with my wife was that I could keep only one of them, at least for this year. Well after much consideration and input from the community on various issues, I have decided to keep the G2 and sell the F75 which is now on Craigslist. "Smudge" pretty much summed it up with "do you want to be a micro jewelry hunter or a coin hunter?" Well, I had a lot of fun today in the volleyball sand for several hours. My take was two silver earring backings, 3 quarters, 1 dime, 1 nickel, and a whole lot of very small bits of foil wads, etc. Since I found this to be fun with the anticipation of finding some micro jewelry, I guess I answered the question posed by smudge and have made my decision. So the G2 forum will be my home for the time being.
