I seen koss has light weight headphones from jimmy sierra, are they any good for the explorer? I have a pair of fisher but they are half shot and im looking for a pair for the summer. Im a little concerned because they are really cheap but I didnt really see anything else that would be good for summer use. Any Ideas?

Some people use ear buds especially in parks for safty reasons. Ive always preferred good headphones even during the hot summer. On the beach here in Fl i still use my pro golds. Good headphones close out noise and are clear as a bell. Im not a Koss fan every since they put them on the EXP with a straight plug.... it lasted maybe a month and NO they wouldnt replace them.

If you can tolerate the lil sweat you might get the trade off is worth it to get a good set. Less outside ambient noises etc.
If it is really hot I will simply lift up one side and use only one side. Then again my hearing is phenominal luckily.
I have always liked the DetectorPro products.
I have been using the Grey Ghost for about 10 years.

Sunray Pro Golds give an unmistakeable high pitched "warble" over deep silver that is unmatched in any other set I have ever used.

I have 3 pairs in case something should happen to one while hunting...as I absolutely will not hunt without them.

I believe Ray who moderates the E-Trac forum feels the same way and won't use anything else either:thumbup:

Winter...Spring...Summer...Fall....it doesn't matter. It's Sunray Pro Golds hands down:biggrin:
