Has anyone had the chance to use the Nokta Impact in the red mineralized soil in the Culpeper Virginia area? If so what modes did you use and how successful were you in finding Civil War relics with it?

I haven't been to Culpepper VA with the Impact, but I have

hunted a wide range of ground mineral challenging sites in the Western USA with the Impact, to include some 'red dirt' environments. I know, I know ... not all 'red dirt' is the same, but there are a few places I have worked the past couple of decades where the red dirt has been quite a challenge for many detectors I have evaluated at them. They have a high GB phase setting requirement and also have a high MMI reading on the different makes and models I have worked there.

My Nokta FORS CoRe, FORS Relic and Impact have all performed well, especially when compared against a few modeler that I hold a respect for. Coil choice and settings used naturally make a difference. Sweep speed can also be a factor as a too-fast sweep in nasty ground can have a negative end result in performance.
