Looks like MULTI only in BEACH mode.
There is going to be a few upset people about that they were hoping to hunt Dry Sand in Single.
I guess they still could but not in beach mode lol.

I also wish they would of followed the ID CO numbers of the CTX bummer.

Why? What would be so hard about changing to another mode for dry sand?

Agreed. Nothing there says you can't choose any of the single frequencies that you want, any time you want to...

I may not know what I am talking about so bear with me, why a 'single freq' in dry sand? Why not use all available tools?

A single freq is all power going into that one channel, plus less power going into target interrogation. Better depth as long as ground minerals arent a problem. If you wanted to the hunt the snow-white Florida beaches, up on the dry sand chair line, a single freq would work better than multi.

I just noticed that it says you can use up to 4 wireless audio connections simultaneously. That is so awesome. There have been so many times I wanted someone to be able to listen to what I was hearing. That will make teaching someone a lot easier, as well as make it easier for video production. No more wind noise!

that IS cool.. send audio direct to camera... sweet. even if only for my own video so I can go over what happened in the field. it will make learning it so much easier.

jas --

Along with what Jason said, which is all true, single (at 40 kHz, for instance) should be VERY sensitive to very, very small gold. While it will ALSO be sensitive to every tiny metal bit of scrap there is, there may be times you want to hunt very small earrings, clasps, etc. in the dry sand, and something running a dedicated 40 kHz could theoretically be a bit more of a "scalpel" so to speak, for micro-jewelry hunting, than running in Multi...
