I know you were previously asking about the Headhunter Pulse for diving, I can say with experience that the Headhunter Pulse has some of the best electronics and depth I have ever seen in a pulse unit for the use of finding gold in a saltwater environment. Unfortunately the unit is not made for diving, and the new ones are rated for only six feet. I use mine just for wadeing. I like the unit so much, if I had the extra money and time, I would make my own housing for the electronics, and wire in a pair of Grey Ghost headphones so I could use it for diving. That would be an interesting project. As for a detector that isn't pulse as the Diver model, I do not own one so I can't tell you how the performance is, but I have also read mixed reviews on it. I would think that the Excal would give you greater depth along with the tone ID for the targets, but then again you would be paying twice as much for one. The only other option for a saltwater diving detector I would consider would be the Fisher CZ 20 or 21, but they have a big price tag as well. Hopefully someone that has a Diver unit can shed some light on their experience using it. HH
