Sorry for putting this message up again, I will get it right yet.
The coin is a full sovereign of 1855 containing 8gms 22 carat gold which was found on a local beach when the sand was washed out by the winter gales, it was only in about 4in of sand. I use the Wader as there is a small river and lots of rock pools so I feel safer having a waterproof detector.

Thanks all at least none of you said that I had bought it, as some people commented over here, as though I would buy a coin worth minimum of 250 or about $375 Dollars.
There is lots of coins like this around here but the sand in usually too deep to detect so you may be lucky and arrive at the beach when the sand is washed out possibly down up to 5to 8 feet but only for a day or two and here in Cornwall there are hundreds of beaches to check.
The W W is very clear if you hold it at the right angle.
I shall keep it until I need a new detector.

Just had a look there were 8.4 million of these coins minted so there may be still a few to be found.

Hi!
I didn't even have to scoop, it was in about 4in sand on the rocks as I was sweeping the coil as I was going back to the car, so never give up until you hit tarmac
