PRETTY ANGRY RIGHT NOW! :veryangry:

So this is really my first time dealing with detectorpro products.. I bought a pair of the underwater headphones "which work great" and a pair of the DMC for the CTX. When I got the DMC headphones I took them directly out of the box and plugged them into the detector. No sound what so ever out of the left ear piece.. I played around twisting the knobs and nothing! I was pretty disappointed because I was really looking forward to using them on the next days hunt.. But I thought to myself... Oh well life goes on, Ill just send them back and they will get taken care of. I sent them in on Monday with a note explaining EXACTLY the issue I was having. I even called Detector pro on Wednesday and said hey.. Heads up, I am sending you back some headphones, they should be arriving today. This is whats wrong.... I was hoping they would just give me a new pair since I just bought them.. Well I got them back today.... Opened the box... Looked to be the exact same pair I sent.. I remember ripping the bag a little when I opened them... I plugged them into the detector and guess what... The left earpiece still doesn't work... I think I could blow a gasket! Now I will have spent around $150 on a $100 pair of headphones.. I'm positive Detectorpro will resolve the issue.. But the fact I have to resend them back in for the same issue without having any hunting time in at all just blows my mind... This isn't a very good start for me...

I don't want to sound dumb but have you tested the headphones on some other device so that you can actually confirm it isn't a problem in the detector? I ask because I had an issue once and thought that the headphones were bad and it was actually the headphone connector on the detector.

Derrelid.........sorry to hear about your issue. Just wanted to relay my recent interaction with Gary at Detectorpro. Wednesday of this week (July eighteenth) I sent the headphones and coil from my Detectorpro Wader to the factory because I was getting no audio at all. Today (July 20) I received an e-mail from Gary at about 12:00 saying the problem has been identified and he instructed me to call him to discuss it. At about 3:00 I was back in my office and called Gary, he informed that the issue was a broken crossover wire from one phone to the other and the repair cost would be $75.00. I gave him my payment information and after a few minutes of detector talk he informed me that he would be putting my detector out for shipping today. I can honestly say I am very impressed with the service thus far, of course I don't have the wader back yet so the final word is yet to come.

I purchased the Wader used at a really good price used and as far as I'm concerned I'm still ahead of the game regarding the investment. Hope all turns out well for you!!

Yeah tried them on all my machines.. Still the same results.. Like I said I'm sure he will take care of the situation: I have read lots of good feedback about him. I wrote this post not long after opening the box and I was a little heated. Mainly upset over the inconvenience. I have had my Sunray's for years. They have been awesome, they are in bad need of some repairs. Between the tape and plastic epoxy they hardly stay on my head: Was looking to use the DMC headphones as a replacement while I send them off. I left Gary a voicemail and I'm sure he will be calling me back. I'll let everyonr know how it goes down. On a good note.. Out of the right ear phone the sounds very loud and crisp. Cant wait to hear how they sound in both ears ;)

that the DMC headphones were designed for Nautilus metal detectors. They are wired totally different than anyone's else's. So perhaps using a different set of Gray Ghost will produce a better results for you.

The selling point of the DMC headphones was being the only pair of headphones available "rather than the Koss" that are compatable with the CTX 3030... All other headphones will not shut off the internal speaker. I dont think they would have advertised them as such if knowing one ear bud doesnt work.

Heres a link to the Detector Pro Gray Ghost factory web page: Click here for DMC

I can't see anything there about it being for the Minelab. Perhaps I missed something.

My dealer recommended the DMC's for my F 75 and they worked great. I've since been using them of a T 2, Omega 8000 and an F 75 LTD and again, they work great. HH jim tn

The product stats I posted were listed on a non advertised dealers site. Heck I guess he could be wrong and maybe they don't work on minelab detectors. :surrender:
I'll make sure I'm more clear on what detector I'm using them on when I call him
again monday. I'll get the right info directly from the man himself. I'll keep you informed

I would also speak with the dealer that you purchased them from. He would have been to front line of help. It was up to him to do the work your doing. If you purchased it from a registered dealer of the product, it was his job to swap it out if it need to be.

Either case, good luck. I'm sure the factory will take care of it.

As I said earlier the final word was still to come on my repair with Detectorpro................well, the final word is THANK YOU GARY!

As promised Gary sent my wader back out to me last Friday and I received it today.....working just fine. Total turnaround time from mailing to receiving it back home...........4 business days! I don't think anyone can ask for more than that in customer service!

Thanks again Gary!

Gary called me today and apologized for everything. Said that the DMC headphones should be working just fine on the CTX and he would get a different pair out in the mail for me.
Gary really is a super nice guy! I didn't mean to sound like such an a$$. I was just so aggravated and was looking forward to using the headphones right away. Said the headphone i sent back to him definitely had a loose wire an it possible cane loose again. If the second pair dont work something could possibly be wrong with the detector. Hope it was just the headphones

I'm glad things worked out for you. I'm not surprised. Detectorpro has fantastic customer service and turnaround time.

They took care of me after I broke my pistol probe.

It was such a great experience.

I have been thinking about getting a PI machine for some time now. I was so impressed with DP service I went to my dealer and am ordering the Pulse PI.

Thanks again DetectorPro!
