Did well picked up about $5 in coinage some was
black looking so likely deep and there for a while.
Also bobby pins and usual stuff in the water. Was neck deep
at times but luck out.
This detector is tricky to pin point especially with the 11 inch
coil in neck deep water.
Tried many times but the target would only go deeper and disappear
The good signal faded away and so did the possible ring.
Will have to revert to my hugh scoop:thumbup:

Joel,

That 11 inch coil can be a problem when it comes to pinpointing.

You probably want to take some time to practice on the dry sand until you get the hand of it.

Once you figure out centering techniques for that coil, working in the wet stuff gets much easier.

I'm thinking about getting the PI. The 8 or 11in coil??

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

When I got mine it was with the 11 inch coil. I did not specify coil size.

I think the 8 is easier to pin point and goes plenty deep also .
That seems to be the comments I've seen on the forum.

Joel,
Like Smudge says, some practice and once you have it figured out, it goes better.

I like the big coil. I consider a big scoop a necessity in the water and in the wet sand too.

Thanks folks.

I'm leaning towards the 8in.

It occurred to me that its not like there's a wrong choice considering the coils can be interchanged!

Thanks again

Bik
