hi all
took the plunge & got me a detector pro underwater with 8 inch coil
right off the bat i want to tell all gary is first rate in service had a small problem & gary got it taken care of pronto ...

now to my first impresions on the underwater
ive only had it out for two days & im testing it on my beach of black sand / nail & bottle cap hell..
& its preforming very well bottle caps & nails are not an issue & she hits hard on coins ..
best depth so far is 7 inches on a quarter thats very respectable in my hot ground..
the unit is built very well looks great & is light to run for hours..
headphones are a little strange at first but in a bit they feel just fine ..
havent got a chance to get it in the water yet a bit to cold .... but i will soon :detecting:

i can say its like an old friend reminds me of a 1280 x on steriods ...
its a sound machine & she will talk to you .. fun fun

good hunting all
walt

Looks like you got a hot rock there. I have one beach near me that is full of rocks that the Wader just loves. Have hunted other places that the Wader is much better to detect with than the beach where all the hot rocks are.

I'm guessing that the Underwater would be similar?
Cheers,

Good review, thanks. I will look forward to hearing more as it might be May until the ice is off here. Have you done any air testing or testing of any kind on smaller gold such as earrings? Looks like it might make a good fresh lake hunter. When you talk about the sounds I am thinking right in that although it is a single tone machine you can tell the difference etween a nice round tone and a bad raspy tone?
