Ron, did you ever use a metal detector to find any relics? ...............

Little Misery looks like a great place to camp out overnight. What type of airplane was stored in that hanger? Did you ever see the airplane? You sure live in a very interesting area. Kelley (Texas) :)

when I was actually in it. It was remodeled into a large home years ago, as the estate was "broken-up" and lots sold. Someday I will try to drive to it, and get a photo. These estates, are mostly private roads and keep-out signs galore. If i remember, there is another ex Stable that is now a residence. I will try to take some photo's tomorrow ...You won't believe the size of this place. I never paid much attention about horse's, but it is quite a big deal in the surrounding area. Beverly Farms, Hamilton, Ipswich are all money towns, and stables are quite common. You need money for that type of interests around here. Myopia Hunt Club is in Hamilton, and has been around for a 100 years. Polo is a real big sport if your a member. True Yankee stuff....Old yankee blue bloods..old money... You know like " Pass the Pupon!" (if you can afford it) :D

The Plane was kind of experimental, back in the 1930's or earlier.

They were experimenting landing and taking off in water. The idea was to use planes for Search and Rescue of vessels in trouble, which back then was common.

Really nice pictures of the islands Ron J.

Always seems to be something of interest on those little offshore islands. Nice shots of them. We did much the same. Had quite a few islands we could get to on the weeknds and the entire family would go out there on the weekend. Everyone brought something and it was a great time. I miss that as many of them are off limits now or over grown with briars etc. Nice job on the skiff there. Lap streaks look good in any style to me. Just had a classy look to them. Thee i sone similiar at Mystic seaport with a little steam engine in it they run people around in for tours in the summer. Bet you get a lot of lookers asking questions on that boat. Great shots and story. I see the old stone foundation is standing up well. Nice thing about stones is they are weather proof.

Thanks for the comments Guys! The Map is right on Royal!

If You zoomed in between the islands, you may be able to catch a glimpse of the ribs, of "the City of Rockland". The map appears to be low tide. Its only 3 to 4 feet deep and with a Minus tide, maybe 2 ft between the two in places. These photo's were taken a year ago..That puddle jumper you see, lasted a month with me. The Carbs gummed up, due to the great gas we have! I dumped the boat. Didn't want headaches, and didn't like the boat.

You sure live in a beautiful place, RonJ! I am going to try and get caught up

Hi Ron,

Sunny expressed my sentiments exactly!

Fine photos and how wonderful for you to be able to share them with us!!

Look into Honda Four Stroke power on your next puddle jumper.

Very cheap to operate without the two stroke problems!

I make several short fishing trips with my 50HP on a six gallon of gas before I fill up and it moves the old 19' fishing boat right along!

Keep 'em coming Friend,

CJ
