Was about to do business with them, but decided against it. Because:
1] very little info except basic gold knowledge on thier web site.
2]they will give only 90% of actual gold value if you send them less than 20 OZ. 95% if over 20OZ.
3]MIDWEST refineries gives 95% for as little as an OZ of 14K and has proven to be fast, honest and in the business longer dealing with detectorists.
hope this helps, could be other decent refineries out there,i stopped looking 2 years ago when they were recommended on most M.D. forums.be carefull, sam in ms

Use Midwest Refineries.

For coins ,take pictures and put on CRAIGES LIST or /and put in local papers or here. Jewelers and pawn shops will almost always give less than 50% value, they need to make a profit also. Coins will always gain value if in decent condition, collectors are born every day and true coins are getting scarce.sam in ms

We've only heard an occasional thunk here, over Midwest...
You've got to realize anyone you deal with is hoping to make a profit on the goods.

Wow, you revived an 8 year old thread here.
Many have used ARA in Dallas...American Recycling Associates.
I did and they treated me more than right.
98% on gold, no limit.
You can lock in the prices when they get it or tell them to hold it if you think gold is going up, and after they do the testing they will send you 80% of the total right away if you want and the balance after they do the processing.
They will return all stones, also, but fake diamonds will be frosted.
They were right on with their calculations compared to mine and sent me reports on what everything tested out as before I gave the ok to refine everything and got a check in a timely manner.
It says commercial customers only on their website but they deal with any and all detectorist too.
Call and talk to them if you want, pretty friendly folk.

Couple of years ago, but there is a thread on another forum about people using them recently as a few weeks ago and things are still good.
Like any business some have smooth transactions, a few have complained for whatever reason but overall there us a reason so many recommend this business.
There was a few issues, several months ago they were expanding their factory and got screwed over by a contractor which caused them some financial pressure and delayed a few checks for a few days but that was all straightened out.
Recently their VOIP phone system went down for a few days which caused some concern when nobody could get a hold of them but they eventually rerouted calls to personal cell phone numbers then everything came back.

Reiver,
Thanks for the data point.

I had read of some issues a few months ago too. They were wonderful a few years back when I cashed in a stash. Hope they are all straightened out now. Hope to hear more reports. I'm still holding for rates to go back up.
Cheers,

Please consider calling Rochester Silver Works (RSW) a former Eastman Kodak division to discuss your processing needs. RSW is the largest USA based washing operation with exceptionally high silver assay returns.

You may also call Greg Munier @ 585-743-1624

Thanks
