I have a question about the heat an Tesoro detectors.

I am getting ready to get a Cibola and was wondering about the temperature ranges I have seen listed with the description of the detectors. I just read a post about the cold end but, I love to hunt when it is hot. Well over 100 degrees. Has anyone had issues with their Tesoro or is that temperature range just a precaution from the manufacturer to not leave the detctor in the car.

If you can stand the 100+ heat, so can a Tesoro as most detectors can too.
I just would not leave any detector inside a car parked in the hot sun the can climb way too high, plastics soften etc.
But, the plastic dash, seats etc. easily survive the baking hot sun. Better off storing a long styrofoam cooler in your trunk and putting
your detector in it. You can get a fish box at most seafood distributors. It's what fish is shipped in.

I have wondered about this myself because several other brands of detectors have a wider optimum temperture range than does Tesoro.

Sven is 100% correct about not leaving them in direct sun inside a closed vehicle.

Maybe Robert from Tesoro could help with this question.

A friend of mine fried a Garret left in the trunk of his car during the hot summer:nopity:N/T

Yeah guys that is what I thought. I figured it was more of a common sense kind of thing and not a weather related issue. Leaving a detector in a car is not a very good idea. Besides the temperature it can tempt someone to relieve you of your pride and joy. I was just wondering though. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
