Is anyone having problems with the Sand Shark battery contacts? Mine seems to not be making contact all the time, if i lay it down and pick it up it will be off and if i thump the box it comes on again. its like it is not making good contact in side. i have thought about putting a piece of foam in top of the battery so when the top is latched down it would make better contact.

Maybe i should send it to Tesoro for a check out, it is only about 8 months old.

Have not had a problem with mine. Suggest calling and see if their recommendation is to use the foam shim or send it in.

i had the same problem, i reached down and pried the contacts up a bid, also but some paper towel on top so when latched it held the battery in place.

Just tried a thin piece of foam, this seemed to cure the problem, just want to make sure that the foam is not too thick.
