One of the best detectors Tesoro has on the market. And at the cost, a no brainer! I just started using the 10x12 coil a month ago and it's outstanding! The Outlaw, as I mentioned in an earlier post, incorporates all the best features of other detectors. To be honest, the Outlaw and Golden are the two detectors I've been using all summer long.

Thanks and good hunting,

Hi Tee1up - There are a few things. The disc on the Outlaw is not as compressed, so you have a finer adjustment when ID'ing targets or simply using the disc to eliminate targets below a desired range. The Ground Balance is also more refined, not as compressed as the Vaquero, this enables a more precise setting. The "O" not only offers a great motion All Metal mode but also has an excellent no-motion All Metal mode with Super Pinpointing, which increases depth and ensures accurate pinpointing. Depth in the Disc mode is on par with the "V" within the numerical range of the sens, the tone is a higher frequency, which to me sounds less muddy, the 8 inch coil, which is a proven performer, pinpoints a little easier. The "O" is well worth the money alone, but now you add two additional coils and this becomes a no brainer! The 10x12 inch coil is awesome in the All Metal modes, and the 5.75 is outstanding in those trashy areas. The ability to adjust to different areas or situations makes the Outlaw, in my opinion, the best value for an All Terrain detector Tesoro makes today.

Thanks and good hunting,

Hi guys

As we in the U.K. cannot get the Outlaw for whatever reasons I have ordered one from your side of the pond. The fact that it comes with three coils and it it's a very good at discrimination decided me to take a chance and get one.

Even with import duty and V.A.T. the fact that it has 3 coils still make it a better buy than the Tesoro/Laser equivalent make over here.

I keep checking every day to see if 53Silver has his 10"x12" YouTube vid out yet as this is the coil set-up I am most interested in and will be hunting in all metal with it. The small coil comes a close second as I have more than a few places that it will be very handy indeed.

Hopefully my detector should be with me by the middle of next week

Hi allcav

I phoned Kelly Co to order one a couple of weeks ago and was told that they are not allowed to send this machine into the European market and when I asked why I was told they don't know. My daughter Wendy is working in your fair country so I asked her to buy one for me and she shipped it over, it will be here tomorrow. If it's important to you I can find out from Wendy which vendor she bought it from.

That's fine, Some of our dealers are bad boys and sell outside the U.S. This violates international laws we have. However, Hopefully soon Treasure World will have Outlaws in stock.

Due to other commitments, I haven't been able to use the Outlaw (which is on loan) for a while. I agree with Mike in his summation, and just applying what I have found to what Mike said, the Outlaw performs beautifully with both the 10 x12 DD and the 8" round concentric coils. Good depth (up to par with my Eldorado) and can isolate small silver at depth (6" +). I really really wish Tesoro would come up with a small DD coil to go with the Outlaw...I think with such a coil it would be a winner (for a VLF machine) at finding small gold. JMO

Hey guys,

I just got my Outlaw yesterday (my 50th birthday last week) and am having a lot of fun with it.
I'll do a write up from the perspective of someone that has never owned a MD before. Briefly though I am really impressed with the Engineering that has gone into this. Everything went together very well, and I love having three lower poles for each of the coils and it hangs lightly on the arm. I barely went 10 feet in my back yard with the 8" coil and I found a 1969 quarter that has probably been there since the house was built, about 3" down. I also managed to find a ton of metal left over from when I re-did my deck last year. My dog is really 'digging' this hobby as well as anytime I start a hole, he jumps in to help.

I am not sure if it has anything to do with my wifi or underground cables but I can't really use it in my basement or in certain parts of my yard. It really chatters with short burps and clicks, even when stationary. Does this sound like electrical interference to you? Tomorrow I will get away from the house and be able to offer a more balanced experience.

Quick question, the scuff cover for the 8" coil is a bit loose and prone to coming off.
Would you suggest a real think bead of caulk on the inside or something else?

Two sided tape will work as well. 4 small 1 inch squares will do it. DON'T use caulk or any kind of glue.

Thanks for the adhesive tips on the coil cover.
Just for clarity, I would never caulk the cover on but I thought of building up the inner diameter of the cover very slightly, letting it dry and they attaching it.

Regardless your suggestions make more sense.

Thx.
