My Troy Shadow X5, because its my deepest machine

and my Diablo Umax. Both are great detectors

Ahhh, those Troys must be something. Can't recall reading much anything but praise for them.

Must admit i bought a brand new Troy X5 here in the UK 10 years ago, used it for 12 months with many hours on the clock and its the only detector that i have ever hated and sold,it just loved iron, had the stock coil and also the 10x6 coil and it was not a cheap machine, build quality was possibly the best in the business, but it just loved iron, countless times being in contact with Troy Galloway and sold it about 18 months later, because of all the hype at the time that they had been the greatest detector since sliced bread was invented i sold it at basically what i paid for it which was a massive relief.Of course this is only my experiance with a brand new Troy X5,they stopped selling them in the UK a little while later and then the company stopped production full stop.

Deus and Nexus MP and TDI Pro all i need and use, also a few others as well.

Like Barber Bill I have a Vaquero, an Eldorado, and a DeLeon. I think I would keep the DeLeon But I would be hard pressed to decide between the other two. More than likely keep the Eldorado.

Eldorado! (one of my favorites) Vaqueros are great too, but I prefer the toggle to all metal and the ED180 of Eldo; it's super sensitive to the tiniest bits with minimal disc.
I wouldn't part with a clean Eldorado... :bouncy:

Tejon with Grey Ghost headphones for land and a Tigershark for water. Most of my water hunting is done in fresh water, I went with the 8" coil on the Tigershark because its easier to handle in river currents

Not buying another detector until someone makes a dedicated park gold detector with 100 points in the gold range, sick of the same old same old, I need something to met my detecting needs and NO one makes what I need.
anyone can find silver its a sitting duck I have more than enough of those duck hunters, so my pocket book stays closed until someone see's the future of detecting.

if you are out there I can let you know what I need..

Mojave
Berkut-5
Etrac
MX5
Gold Racer
Compadre 7" Concentric
Compadre 7" Widescan
Outlaw

More coils than any sane person would need.

Machines are not in order of preference !! I can't read big blocks of writing , so the enter key is a good tool.

I share my experience of my detecting both the good and not so good both on and off the field, not here to keep everyone happy, just share my experience! if it helps someone that's great, if not that's great too--- so take what you need and leave the rest !

Not quite...

Eldorado has the full "ED180" disc range, toggle for all-metal / disc / battery check, a lower 10kHz transmit frequency, no pinpoint button and a nicer audio tone. It's not the same machine as the Vaquero.
No Tesoro collection is complete without one (or two..).

I'm hanging on to both of mine.
They do show up on ebay every couple of months though, and often sell for about what a used Cibola does. Worth picking up a nice one if the price is right.
