So you think it's just a compadre with mods done at the factory?
You've done alot of work on these, when you open the Mojave, what does it look like?

Definitely has some similarities, but it's not a compadre.

did you check if the switch has a resistor inside? like if you flip it and set the ground balance in one place and flip it back and sent another place?

Seems similar to the switch I used on my cibola mod.

so it just send the signal to a resistor?

There's alot more going on on that board than that. There's a second IC chip and alot of other components.
Putting a switch on a compadre would not be the same resister or not.
The board has alot of other components and traces tying into the board.

Again, it IS NOT just a compadre with a sensitivity and ground switch.

So why is depth the same?

Possibly because they have similar size coils, compadre is set as high as stably possible in factory, and Mojave has sensitivity knob you can turn up to as high as stably possible.
Like Steve said, it just edges out the silver umax on depth meaning that the silver and compadre are closer depth wise then the Mojave.
Also the new coil could play a part in that.
I still have yet to compare it with my old 7" and my Troy super 7.

I have a hot compadre 7 inch and i felt it has more depth to a stock 8 or 5 new version

So why is depth the same?

The main difference ive seen is no loss of depth as discrimination increases.
In my test bed the Mojave will hit the 8" quarter with the disc set to zinc
The compadre barely hits it set to minimum and it is gone before foil.
Depends a lot on local soil conditions.
In my sandy soil in Florida the Mojave definitely gets more depth than the compadre.
Also retains the depth as discrimination is increased, something the compadre definitely doesn't do.
No one really knows for sure what is different except Tesoro, but I'm pretty sure there
is a big difference in the discrimination circuitry.
Definitely a lot more components on the board as seen in the photos AJ posted.

The hot compadre can hit a quater on normal soil in discrimination all the way up, i would be impresd how it handles nickels

I meant at depth. It's pretty well universally accepted/known that the compadre loses an inch or two
of depth at higher discrimination levels. The Mojave seems like it improved on this a lot.
