An amazing detector...the height of simplicity. You will be detecting....not fiddling with controls.Really unusual in it's abilities to handle tough ground with no manual ground balance........................a detector that is not properly marketed. It hits our tough to detect Canadian clad ......with ease at depths that approach the MXT Whites.Yet in an air test it seems just "ok". Give it time and you will be pleasantly surprised. But change the coil..............standard coil sucks wind................get the brown 8" concentric coil .......that's the ticket!!!

It's deep. Very deep. I have bad red soil, and it was clearly deeper than my Vaquero, Bandido II, and Eldorado. Also deeper than my Teknetics Omega.

Yes, even with a fixed Ground Balance.

Great machines for coins. Wish I would have kept mine.

In the UK they are called the 'Laser Hawkeye' a good reliable machine that constantly fills your finds pouch with decent find and that is basically all you want, not overly complicated, basically a switch on and go machine.

Deus and Nexus MP main everyday detectors

Displays on a Detector are really the equivalent of relying on sub-titles,give me a Analogue machine anyday.

Site specific use machines.
TDI Pro 20'' Mono
Nexus SE dual 9'' coil
Fisher TW-5 twin box
Crossbow PI Coiltek 14x9 Mono
Mirage PI 5'' Mono
DFX 18'' Detech
T2 SEF15x12
IDX Pro 15'' Concentric
Arado120b
B1 and B3
Trident11 Extreme NEL Snake

Mainly hunt deep ploughed and pasture sites, trashy roman/saxon and celtic permissions.

The perfect blend of digital and analog. In my opinion. This is the best Tesoro that I have used to date. Fast to set up and hunt with. And, still has a good analogy audio sound. Wish it had a no motion all metal that's about it.

You won't find a better detector to find coins and jewelry. I own one and wouldn't sell it for what I paid.
I love mine. It's deep enough, quiet, and doesn't lie. Once you spend around 40 hours with this machine you will find it amazing.

Easy operation. A Tesoro factory rep stated to me that the DeLeon might not be the best choice for the western states.

If you are in Western Canada our ground conditions are "tough" .......and our common clad coins are "tough" to detect................ it's "tough" to find the correct ground balance......................but the great equalizer is the DeLeon!!! And no ........I'm not a Tesoro dealer I simply love this detector and am trying to spread the word. A good product deserves credit !!! Wish Tesoro would give it more respect. But then again we know Tesoro has a bias against target id machines!

I've found the DeLeon to be a blast to use and have done well with it. Depth is good, the display is good and I'm glad I traded for it several years back. I've never had ground problems with mine, but I do have several detectors with manual ground balance if I do. I originally wanted a Cortez thinking the DeLeon was a a "little sister" to it, but ran into a good trade. Have since added a Cortez to the stable and I like it well enough, but if I had to let one go it would probably be the Cortez.

Bill, why would you choose the DeLeon over the Cortes?
I really really like my DeLeon. Wouldn't sell it for what I paid. For this reason alone, I've thought: "Since the Cortes cost more, more bells and whistles, Inc GB, then it must be a super dooper machine."

So, I've thought about purchasing one in the near future.
Just wondering.
