Compadre 3D/Coin Check Mod

It's been raining for two days so I had some time to get this done.
Thanks to Bleaver for posting the schematic and passing along some good tips.
Basically added two extra disc circuits with a three position toggle.
Sp3t toggle and 100k 25 turn Bourns trimmer pots.
Center position is the normal disc control.
Toggle down is set to break up on a nickel.
Toggle up discs out tabs, just barely accepting a zinc.
Will do some fine tuning and testing in the test bed when it quits drizzling.
I'm usually a dig it all guy so this will mostly be for a quick ID before digging.
Definitely was a good feeling to button it up and have it all still working,
and not loosing any air test performance.
Hopefully it's still good in the dirt. Lol

I did it on my Silver umax with a 2 position switch. In position 1, it operates where the normal disc position is-which I kept at foil. Position 2 was where old style tabs broke up. When I hit a target I wanted to check, I flipped the switch. If it went silent-probable nickel. If it broke up-tab. If it stayed normal- coin.

Thanks Paul. Not as advanced as your projects but it's a start.
I work in the music business and keep my soldering and wiring skills
honed on guitars and microphone cables and other bits.
Been fun tinkering with these detectors though.
My first compadre got installed in a waterproof Plano case and it's a freshwater killer!
Got this one to replace it for land duty and I couldn't resist trying another mod......lol

Thanks to all of you who post these modifications for the inspiration!

Noah
