Big old foreign coin hangin' with the iron...

In a lawn I have been over many times before but not much with the Mojave I was walking by on my way back from the park and I cherry picked with maxed out disc just for a minute.
Got a decent signal that did not disc out.
Not perfect but good enough and I had to dig it, after I dug it there was something else that was right next to this thing at the same 5.5" depth...could have been actually touching it.
When I got that one out I knew why the signal was a little bit choppy.

I am on a roll with old foreign coins lately.
A 1912 George V Penny...H mint.
London minted about 48,300,000 that year, the Heaton Mint, a privately owned minting company the govt. sometimes used, made 16,800,000 so the rarer of the two.

Love the coin, love the condition and the old date but you want to know what I love more?
That thing that was in the hole next to this coin is something I have to deal with a lot around here, iron.
A huge piece of rusty iron, too.
Nice to know my gamble on getting the Mojave hoping it might work well in my dirt is paying off...in spades.

"What if doing the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?”
F70, F2, Compadre, Mojave, Judge2 - 2017....Clad, 13 silver targets including a freaking Barber quarter, a beautiful walker and two V nickels...
Plus other cool stuff.

A terrific find, also love the connect that was also mentioned Heaton Birmingham UK but found in Birmingham Alabama, the condition of that coin is pretty exceptional as usually we find them all worn away.

Them new Tesoros are darn good detectors for the money. I use mine all the time now. My others are getting a little dust on them.
Been a long time since I found any old coin, let alone a forign one.
