WOW...this was masked for MANY years.:surprised: I LOVE my SE Pro:smile:

I hunted a park that Guvner and I have HAMMERED over the last couple of years...and it has a very NASTY iron patch.

It's uncovering something like this that just simply makes me stop....shake my head...smile...and say THANK YOU MINELAB.:please:

Yes the rare bust coin find is great....seated coin finds are great....big silver is great. Heck a couple wheaties are nice...but finding something in this manner is the biggest part of what it's all about for me. As I began to uncover and remove the muck...I realized how LONG this iron piece was.:surrender:

Next to finding the peace and solace I search for....and the precious dime around my neck:angel:...a find like this lights up my face like a Christmas tree...and I'm a little kid all over again.:bouncy:

Because this little silver critter was engulfed by the iron...it gave off just a tiny sweet warble through the dead null. I was creeping with the SE though as I always do...so the warble sounded through the silence.

Just a very common and simple Merc but it was buried under the iron. I'm stoked... because it's easy to see why it was walked over for all those years....PLUS it just looks COOL.:clapping:

Thank you MINELAB for the many smiles and memories you have given me over the last few years.

Being able to clear my head...even if only for that short while...is much more meaningful than any amount of finds that end up in my pouch"

Totally wow.
I wish I could hear the sweet wobble you are talking about.
I might have to start listening more closely when the machine nulls out, and it does where I hunt.
Congratulations on the find.
Thanks for the pictures, it helps to drive home an important point too.
Been hunting for years, but now I'm a newbie again with my SE PRO.

But that one sure has a rust stain on it... Mud looked worse then usual to for that place. Great find though. I guess we'll find out later if it was a 16 D or not... :D

Nice going Bryce.:clapping: Silver is silver and iron is iron and you just proved that once again those Minelabs can certainly sniff out the silver even when there is iron in the same hole. HH.

I can see why you are stoked Bryce. To hear a slight warble like that and then
find a Merc dime hidden under the iron has got to be totally satisfying for a SE
user like you. Post some info on the date, mint and ETC. when you find out .
Great find/score!! WTG and thnx for sharing. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Wow Bryce now that's really neat finding that dime under that old iron, you sure know how to use that detector. I beginning to wonder when you put on your headphones if they don't make a direct connection to your brain. Good Job.....

A great find Bryce! I am really enjoying my SE! They're awesome detectors and I'm just now beginning to learn mine! Planning to hunt 3 to 4 hours before working tomorrow afternoon. Have a good one friend!
