I got out Saturday morning to the park I dug my first silver ever from...and found out there are still a couple left!



Then, I hit my favorite park this morning, where finds are getting REALLY slim -- but with about 15 minutes left, I hunted along an old stone wall with my X-5 coil (I LOVE that coil), hoping to get in close and find a couple that were missed over the years by hunters with larger coils. Sure enough, here are the last two digs of the hunt...



The first of these, the Merc, put me at the 60 silver coin mark for the year...the Rosie got me to 61. At this point, it seems possible to hit 100 for the year, which is almost unimaginable for me.

Been swingin' the coil since 1972
Started out in 1972 with a Jetco Detector...then the late 70's with a Whites 6000....then in 1981 went to a Bounty Hunter VLF TR 840...then in the early 1980's I went to a Whites 6000 Di Pro...mid 80's I went to a Whites Eagle II SL...Late 80's/Early 90's I went to the Whites XLT...1990's I used the Fisher CZ5, CZ6, CZ7, 7aPro, and CZ70Pro...Started using Minelabs in 1999
with a brief stint on the Musketeer while also using the CZ's...then in 2002 I switched to the Minelab Explorers and currently use an Explorer 2, SE, SEPro, and E-trac with an arsenal of coils

Started out with a 840 VLF/TR. Then I have owned a 5900, 6000Di, 6000Di Pro, XLT and a DFX, CZ6 CZ6a, CZ7.
Started using in 2000 with a XS . Then I have used and owned the XS-S, SE.
I currently still swing my XS-II I bought late 2002 and have a SE-Pro as a back-up. I also have some coils and use the Sun-Ray X1 probe and DetectorPro "Grey Ghost Originals"
