Interesting relic

The HD in our Mac took a dive and I just got my photo capabilities back up and running. I found this a few days ago, along with a couple indian heads. I thought for sure it was military but it is not. It's a saw medallion, the ornate side of a rivet that holds the two halves of the handle and the blade together. Circa 1860ish according to my research. Not what I was hoping it was but still a neat find. The composition is solid brass.

That's really cool!! It does look like the "great seal" that was on those old Civil War-era buttons...so the 1860 time period makes sense to me...
