Detecting sure is strange...

So of coarse I am going back to some of my better sites with my new se that I had luck with with my xs.. This area is two blocks from my house , and trust me..finding an Indian or a Barber in my city is not an easy task..The city wasn't even here in the 1800s..Either way , I had an hour and a half today , so I went back to this area I had pounded this spring..and came up with a half dozen more wheats , and not one , but two silver dimes..All were in the eight inch range..but the ground was nice and wet today...so I think that helped..I should keep track of how many silver I have found this year , but for me it isn't about numbers ,, It's the thrill of the hunt ! And another early date Merc that is in good shape...Interestingly the Barber dime is worth about ten bucks , not bad for a worn out Barber !

The thrill of the hunt is what I like too. Pounded sites give me much more satisfaction than.....

hitting spots that haven't been hit much. YES it is fun to dig a bunch of keepers and I research for myself, Bryce, and Dave-IL to find those spots but I still like working hard and trying to get one more keeper from hammered places.
It doesn't always work for me but the thrill of trying is what it's about for me. Nice hunting ToddWisconsin.
