I have heard both ways on this but my experience is it is junk. Many say if you get just a blip of high tone you should dig. This advise is from very experienced hunters. Guess you will hear a lot of opinions. Every blip I have dug on a null was junk but there are exceptions. Try swinging over that target fast from both directions. If the tone varies up and down it is probably junk. The best way to learn is dig and remember. After a while you will come to a conclusion on your own. HH
