The Sovereign will null on anything disc out or iron, so when you get a null and a signal on either side of the null chances are it is the threshold coming back from the iron null. Put it all metal pinpoint and you will see there will be a signal right where the null was. Another way is while in disc is to go around the signal from a different direction and iron will move so the signal will not in the same place.
