Yes Rick, I could tell it wanted to climb. I worked the sensitivity up until I got a solid signal. While I was flashing some high numbers, they were all over the map...like you said Rick...unstable.
I tried the wiggle also but it just wouldn't work like I thought it would. I'm sure more experience will make me a believer...I'm just new at the meter thingie.
Anyhow I can see how well it can work for certain hunting styles. Lately I have been digging everything above disc because the fields are relatively clean of foil, tabs, caps...etc so I haven't had a need for it.
This weekend at the old school should help.
