I've made and used the countersunk M12's for almost 4 years now with heavy use in saltwater and never a issue. (A guess would be close to 600 hours a year submerged in saltwater) Now the Amphenol do require regular cleaning and silicon / greasing. There are SS M12's also from Mouser also if your not happy with the Amphenol. I will say I have had guys send back a machine because they put the headphones on and never removed to maintain and they came off but it required some work. Just like your lower shaft, if you never pull it off and clean it will freeze up also.



Effort is Important, But knowing where to make an effort can make all the difference!
