I just bought a CZ 21 and the manual says to use 9 volt alkaline batteries or Nicad batteries. Can I use 9 volt lithium ion batteries? Would it be ok??

I just use generic $1 9 volt from the dollar tree and put a good 35 hours with them before I swap them out.

That's a good question....ever notice how light lithium batteries are? By using lithium batts greatly reduced the weight of my Whites. On the Whites XLT I used to own Whites said that the unit could handle the higher amps. But in the same breath they said it would damage the voltage regulator in the XL Pro. best to contact Fisher and get it from "the horses mouth" let us know the outcome if you do so!!!!

I contacted Fisher and they sent me a generic article about batteries. Although it didn't state "lithium" specifically, it did say you can use any battery, but don't reccomend the cheap carbon batteries as they tend to be too unstable for this type of electronic device and the unit may not work properly.
