Might work but it has salt water mode built into it so you might miss some small stuff,works well in fresh water as a ring,coin detector but thats what it was made for?It will find some really small metal in all metal mode so running it in that might be the ticket if you have any small nuggets try
them under the coil on a wooden spoon to see if it will pick them up?
