I got question. I went mining last year and found some gold but i found mercury as well. In fact what happend is the mercury cover all my gold. I heard i could burn it off. Well i did and have a question to anyone who has ever burned off mercury from gold before. The mercury burned off and i was left with off color gold peices. Is that normal? It was kinda weird becase i had a ball of mercury and was left with chunks of off color gold. Should that of happend? or would the mercury burn off completley? IDK its weird because the peice turned gold after the mrecury was removed, but its kinda like a off color and looks like some of the mercury faded the real color of the gold. Just want to know if its gold or not. What else can i do to find out? Thanks. I can post a video of it too.
