I was not all that impressed with it......... heavy and didn't seem to do any better than the 10X12 SEF. The 10X12 was and still is one of my favorite coils.

Bells and whistles are nice, but nothing will substitute for the basic understanding of the hobby.

Are you talking about the 14" round coil or the 14" (10 x 14?) eliptical?

I don't have any experience with the round 14" but have heard that there are far better choices such as the 10X12 SEF Larry mentioned.

I like mine and think it is quite light - for a 14 inch coil.

If you are looking for big deep iron it's a good choice, but it might not see the small stuff..

So, just bought a 6x8 sef butterfly and love it I guess my next buy will be a sef 10x12. Larry how does it copare with the stock 300 round spider coil.
Should i invest in the 10x12 or keep using the 300 12" coil Thanks in advance.
