Just wondering if anyone had a chance to run this coil on the DFX yet. If you have what are your thoughts on it compared to the D2?

I'm very interested in the coil and hope to hear some feed back either way. Pos or Neg. I hate to buy another coil and have it end up on the shelf with some others.

OK. I was out this morning 2.5 hours. Went to a familiar playground. I have found silver jewelry here but no silver coins. Today was about digging a little bit of garbage and a lot of clad. I used 3 different programs. First was the stock coins and jewelry program. That did fine, very stable, but nothing too deep. I have a program similar to coins and jewelry but amped up a little which does pretty good for me. I was in this modified coin and jewelry program most of the time today. The third program i used was High Mineralization program from Jeff Foster's 'Digging Deeper with the DFX'. The coil is big but seems light for its size. Pinpointing was quite easy. I hope to go out again today and tomorrow. More info on the way. HH. Matt

Another couple hours today. The 13" Detech Ultimate did not fail me today. More clad and more really deep can slaw...like small shards at 10"+. So far I really dont have anything bad to say about this coil. Ive got about 4.5 hours on it so far. I wish I could compare it to the SEF 10x12 for some of you but I cant. Like I said before I was ready to buy the SEF 10x12 when I saw the Ultimate for only ten dollars more. Ive been reading what the E-trac owners are saying about it and they seem to love it. More info to come in the future. Thanks. HH. Matt

Another 4 hours with the Detech. Boy can that coil cover ground! Hit the local B-ball fields. Noticed I couldn't get very close to the metal fences and playground equipment - no surprise. Did well in high grass detecting a few inches above the ground. Found lots of clad and a very large rifle bullet unfired. So far I really like this coil. Again, Im sorry I cant compare it to the SEF 10x12. I have a feeling they are both great coils. HH. Matt
