Opinions on DFX recharge battery.

Does anyone have any trouble with it? I think the overnight/ fast option is great. Has anyone noticed a difference between the two options? I have yet to exhaust my DFX battery. I cant say the same for my other high end machine. What is your opinion and experience? Thanks. HH. Matt

Ive never even tried the fast option on the charger. I bought some duracell NiMH rechargables for the spare battery box, so I just switch them out when the factory set is charging. I have noticed that lately it takes quite a bit longer than overnight to get the factory rechargables up to at least 11.5 volts. Im seriously thinking of trying out the lithium AW-2200 while they are on sale.

If you are going to charge overnight, use the slow charge, the fast charge will damage the batteries as stated in the manual, page 4. Do not quick charge over 5.5 hours.

Your charger has a
switch on it that selects the QUICK charge, or
OVERNIGHT charge options. Always check the
position of this switch prior to charging. Always
follow the charge hours on the chart on the following
page when the QUICK charge setting is used.
Overcharging with the QUICK charge setting will
damage the system.

i have the newer Nimh batteries system from whites its a 4 hour charge and they last longer than the older type by far, but i also got the AW-2200 li-ion system and wow does that last . one two hour charge and i get almost 40hours of use before i have to think about another charge.

I forgot to answer your question, there should be no difference between a fully charged battery either way but extended use of the fast charge option will result in fewer total charges because of the heat caused by the fast charge.

I just bought a lithium rechargeable from r and b and I am amazed . Takes about 20 minutes to fully charge from being dead . Last for days in my dfx and when fully charged you get 12.8 volts . I bought mine as a demo that had 2 days on it for I think 70 or 80 bucks but I love it and will never go back to the old rechargeable .

I use the AW200 and it takes forever to drop off.
2 hrs or less 12.7 volts to start. Nice, well worth the money.

That's what I have and man I will never go back to the old ones . I don't have to worry about my battery going dead anymore or not near as much .
