At the beach yesterday got her in ankle deep water at low tide Mixed mode. 18k a little over 8 grams I think it's from the 30's maybe 20's judging from pictures I see on the web.
Im thinking about getting a V3I how are they? will I go deeper?. I found a local park I'm digging tons of wheats only managed one silver at about 8 inches. I know there has to be a ton of quarters deep... Etrac or V3I I love Whites and want to be convinced that a V3I is the way to go plus I know the V3I has to be hotter on gold...Larry?

At your local park, depending on your ground, you might try single frerq 3kHz with normalization off. Our ground typically reads -84 to -93.Before I tried 3kHz with normalization off, I was also finding lots of wheats but little silver. Once I tried this method and got the VDI signals a little farther away from our ground, the silver started emerging.
