The Safari does that for you with noise cancel.

I am New to the Machine so it will take me a little time with it, But The EMI Filter so i am told is for over head power lines not just for noise cancellation but some thing to do with the electrical functions not being disturbed or some thing like that. Don't know if i am right or not LOL..

Sounds like snake oil- not all power lines are created equal so to speak. Do you have a link to the product (PM if it violates the board rules).

It sounds like it's an idea to experiment with but as markinga mentioned, noise cancel will take care of the problem to a degree and IF your detector is still experiencing interference, lower the sensitivity to where it is eliminated. If your really close to power line's or underground cables, no matter what you do, your detector will be overloaded with the EMI and so it's better to just move away from them. There are 2 local parks with underground cables supplying electricity to stadium lights and equipment and I cannot do anything to avoid the EMI so I move away. Maybe a filter might work in conjunction with noise cancelling?

OK, I can find them now.
Apparently they can do everything with regards to the EM spectrum. I think we may have found the secret ingredient of LRL's!.

Run away Forrest.

I ordered a 5 pack of these for 7 Bucks. Here is what is said about them in the order,A convenient cable-clip design noise suppressor & filter against RFI(Radio Frequency Interference), EMI(Electronmagnetic Inteference). I called a friend of mine in maryland who fixes guitar amplifiers and also likes to go metal detecting and i asked him about these and he said what markinga said the safari already has noise cancelation built in but it will help with the EMI'S .it turns out he uses them on his Tesoro and Fisher, and he said they do work.Hey nothing ventured nothing gained if it don't work i am out 7 dollars o well...
