Sears whites 5000d

Hey i just got this yest. , she's a beaut. Hey is it one where you have to swing it fast for better performance.?? Love this forum. Thanks for any help.

Bells and whistles are nice, but nothing will substitute for the basic understanding of the hobby.

Does not have the push button at the end of the handle, have read the owners manual didn't see anything about swinging it faster than normal.??

Hi Bigtuna,

I remember using these old White's way back when. Yes, if you have a target that seems iffy, swing faster over the target. Many times, you will find that a fast swing will help the detector ID better. If you swing over an iffy sound and it pings loud and solid with a fast swing, dig it!
