Since it takes so long for John's copy of LT to reach him.

My homage to a real treasure hunter.

Chris

I used the word masochist as a compliment. I was between that word and die-hard.

But is he a masochist?

Chris

I was once called obsessive compulsive about my detecting habits. I took it as a compliment.

Nah John made the mistake of going out in sub zero weather a few years back and his brain was permanently frozen solid in " detector mode" and he has never been successful in thawing it out.

He's my hero. I'd happily follow in his footsteps but in his wake I wouldn't expect to find much.

Chris

There is one glaring grammatical error and a few mispelled words in my article that don't exist in my original manuscript. The editor also added a comma or two that I wouldn't have. It's their mag, I guess they're entitled to change what they want. Like I wrote earlier, the article is very basic, but hopefully a fun read that will give a few treasure hunters an idea or two.

As much as he is in the water and snow I suspect his screw is pretty well rusted now.

Remember the old joke about the guy searching for his car keys, and a stranger walks up and asks where he lost them. Over there, is the reply. So, why are you looking here? The light's better.

Same thing applies. You look where you know the loot is, not where it happens to be a bit warmer.
