My 1500 Won An Ounce Of Silver At A Meet This Weekend! (LONG POST)

About 35 detectorists met at these two baseball diamonds for an organized meet this week-end. Just a super week-end too! Everyone went home with some prizes.

Of course there were no restaurants to eat nearby, so I survived on buffalo jerky, pepperettes and some beer. Life was just dandy.

So, after digging up some buried (marked) tokens with my 1500 and all of this other stuff........

like this belt buckle with a belt still attached????????????????

I won a ONE OUNCE 999,9 pure silver coin and a 1918 silver 5 cent coin (Fishscale).

But....I also dug these, and they were noy buried for the hunt. Both coins were at a reasonable depth, and were originals.
The heat was so intense in the afternoon, so I opted along with several others to do some garbage dump digging. I was rewarded with these glass bottles and a silver baby spoon with "PAT. OCT 2 1899" stamped on the back.
Well, when it was over, I did a water dig in a lake on the way home and found two ankle bracelets, an earring and some change. Man, what a great weekend!

Nice....Very Nice........

I want people to realize that all of us have to dig lots of junk to get the good stuff. If you are not finding the good stuff, you are not digging enough junk. Don't blame the machine.

John, Your exactly right....

I am a relic hunter and I say that "rust is a must"
if your a relic hunter. Some of the best items that
I have found were ferrous. The CSA used iron in a
lot of items where the US used brass/copper,etc.
I usually dig everything other than iron when I'm
coin hunting too.Best to you, and BTW, I will have a
2500 here tomorrow. Richardntn
