Just curious if there is any word on Garrett coming out with a replacement for their GTI 2500?

Thanks
Jason

If you walk away from a target still thinking of it. Go back and dig it up!
I currently use a Minelab Sovereign GT.

I believe the ATPro is the best machine Garrett has and I look for improvements to that machine or technology.

How about combining the GTI2500 with the ATPro? On the display you'd have a size indicator (A-B-C-D-E Target size) and a target ID indicator as well as depth.
It would come with similar ATPro DD submersible coils that would incorporate an extra receiving ring to make them an imaging coil.
It would be waterproof. You'd have many options on the display to turn things on and off.
It would display the frequency and the frequency would be adjustable from 8khz for coins/relics up to 18khz for gold.
It would weigh the same as an ATPro and be black in color.
With it's new microprocessor chip it would display the time and have a built in GPS map and 3 mega pixel camera.

Hey, it's possible - look at all the features you get on cell phones!

I'm sure they've got something cooked up to compete with the ETRAC.

Rumors have been flying for at least a year. I'm betting on an improvement of the 2500, maybe waterproof like the AT. Within a year I think. But then again, I've been known to be wrong.

Yeah I think it will be water proof too, as this 1 attribute helped to sell a lot of AT-Pros.Maybe the 2500 is to old just to upgrade and hopefully we get a clean sheet of paper design.

I think it's a race between First Texas and Garrett to come up with a new top of line detector. We'll see who comes out first.

I have heard Garrett is working on new Imaging technology with multi-frequency to boot.

Not sure which will come first, a new top of the line or a new Infinium...I'll take both, but since I love to nugget hunt I'll take a new Infinium first.

I would think that it is time for Garrett to break into Multi Frequency detectors...Hmmmm....A Multi Freq. AT Pro...Kinda like the Minelab 705...Change coils, change freq???

I own a 2500 and a 1500 and quite frankly, I always thought the imaging was more of a gimmick than anything else. I don't need imaging to hear the size of a target.
