I think that freezing and thawing bringing up coins has a lot to do with the type of soil and what the target is made of. I never did figure out any direct correlation, but I know that I've gone back over an area in the early spring and found new targets where I would swear that I had cleaned it out the year before. Did I just miss them the first time? I don't know. Maybe.

Our targets just seek deeper here I guess the climate here in Alabama has a lot to do with it, but who knows!

Frozen ground for the last three weeks, temps -10 degrees, ice and freezing fog,

should be a little warmer next week.

I am one of the fortunate ones who lives where I can hunt all year, (South Georgia), I usually hunt 2 to 4 Hrs everyday, just don't have the stamina for long hunts anymore.
