I've owned the Coinstrike and the Id Edge and in my area the Edge didn't come close to the Coinstrike in any category. The Edge was at least for me, a clad coin finder. I don't think I even got a signal over 5 inches. I'd take the Coinstrike all day long over the Edge. I've read and heard that the Coinstrike is a silver dime magnet but I find it to be more of an "Old Copper/Zinc" magnet. It sniffs out Indian Heads like no other. I actually love the fact that most people listen when some say the CS is junk because it just makes them easier to get for the people who love them. I also love the Coinstrike because you don't get the useless jumpy numbers that you get from the new Fisher lineup...the CS locks on hard.
