I'm getting a Detector Pirate Pro. I understand it's the same platform as the 1280.

Have anyone used the 1280 in shallow saltwater hunting ? How did the 1280 perform?

I have owned both Detectors the only thing they share is the operating 2.5 kHZ frequency The
1280 performed great, good depth was built like a tank. The Detector Pirate Pro,on the other
hand is a cheap made in China Detector, If you get the one the sen. Control and you turn it
below 5.5 or 6 it will not find a thing at any depth!
