I have an old transistorized Fisher metal detector I bought new in the early 1960's. I need a battery for it but have forgotten the voltage and type. I recall it is cylinder shape with "snap" terminals on each end (terminals similar to those on a 9V battery.

Thanks in advance for your help..

Correction, my Fisher for which I am trying to find a battery is a T-20. Would appreciate any inputs on voltage and type. I recall it was a round battery with snap terminals on each end...

....Jimmy....you are describing an obsolete 9 volt battery that has Not been made in over 20 years....the old connectors can be repaced with the newer 9 volt connector and that should fire it up!!.....
